Of course, it’s not to be confused with the type of flexible working our flexible recruitment agency offers. This is quite different, although the two are not entirely exclusive.**   ### Flexible working is two things: 1. **The ability to work in different places.** 2. **Non-traditional full-time hours – so anything outside of the 9-5 job.** Flexible work space in London is widely available. From [WeWork spaces](https://www.wework.com/) to [Hubble offices,](https://hubblehq.com/) co-working is particularly in demand in the freelance and self-employed category. But increasingly, businesses require outside office space for meetings and to help employees to think differently. In fact, flexible work space is in [big demand in the capital](http://www.cushmanwakefield.pl/en-gb/news/2018/01/uk-holds-the-largest-global-share-of-flexible-workplaces) and has elevated its position as a centre of excellence when it comes to flexible work. It far outstrips New York in terms of flexible work space available and the number of people using these operations. Meanwhile, when it comes to the [type of flexible working](https://www.ten2two.org/flexible-working/) that we recruit for, London is showing signs of embracing more productive ways of working. But there’s still a long way to go before job advertisements offer flexible working as standard. [Presenteeism](https://www.ten2two.org/why-is-everyone-so-hung-up-on-presenteeism/) is alive and kicking in the capital and that needs to change if we’re to see the gender pay gap close once and for all.
