Spring is in the air, at last, and the recent sunshine has motivated many of our members to refocus on their job search – and what better way to do that than by attending one of our regular ‘Work Ready’ events? More than 15 Ten2Two members, keen to get themselves into the best position possible to secure their dream role this year, joined us in Wilbury Way a few weeks ago to listen to valuable advice on updating their CV’s, preparing for interviews, what to and what not to wear, and other important elements to ensure that they stand out from other potential candidates.

Members were also treated to inspirational talks from two guest speakers – Krush Hathi-Makwana from Krush Coaching and Dawn Fry from The Melting Pot. Krush is a successful business psychologist with a particular passion for helping parents return to work and her advice on strategies to adopt to aid job searching was invaluable. However, for those members considering setting up their own business, Dawn was able to tell her story and her journey from busy mum of three to successful small business owner.

Feedback from our attendees, as always, was extremely good – reassuring us that these member workshops we hold on a quarterly basis really do make a difference to our members. If you are only just starting your employment search keep an eye out for details of our next member event and you too can benefit from advice on making the process as effective as possible.
