We look at what the 9-day fortnight is and how it could be a great flexible working option for you.** Whether you’re returning to work after having a baby or if you’re simply seeking greater work-life balance, there are [all sorts of ways](https://www.ten2two.org/flexible-working/flexible-options-for-professionals/) you can approach your employer to find that much needed flexibility in your life. But not everyone wants to reduce their hours down so that their pay packet is overly affected. A good option, in this instance, is the 9-day fortnight. #### **The 9-day fortnight is full-time hours** When you [work five days one week and four days the next](https://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/london-life/hooray-get-ready-to-flex-your-week-with-the-nine-day-fortnight-9562421.html), your status remains as a full-time employee.
