It’s fair to say that flexible workers have a strong work ethic and want to do their job to their best ability without wasting precious time elsewhere. You won’t, for example, find them spending hours on social media sites – they know how to make the most of their time.

So how can we all be more productive without reading another self-help book to do it? Here are our top tips from some of our esteemed Ten2Two Directors:

  • If you work on the move, make the most of every moment. Waking early and getting in some quick wins in the morning can really set you up for the day.

  • I always carry a notebook and pen with me – very old fashioned, but it never runs out of battery and I know exactly how to operate it!

  • I always stick to the job in hand. And I try not to be all things to all people – this can hold you back and stop you being as focused.

Louise Boardman, North Hampshire

  • I use my personal hotspot on my mobile so I can get a fast connection for my laptop when I’m out and about. I get loads done sitting in the car whilst waiting for the kids to finish dance or swimming classes, and it’s so much better than squinting at your phone. I also try to handle things just once; if I think about it, I try to do it there and then.
