The end of the summer often marks the time when people think about finding a new job.  We’ll do what we can you help you in that search. Here is a quick update of whats happening in the next few months.

Flexible & Proud

Whilst we have helped hundreds of people find flexible jobs with local businesses, one of the biggest challenges we still face when talking to organisations in the local market, is a lack of understanding or confidence in this flexible approach.

As part of our ongoing discussions, we are launching our #Flexible&Proud campaign in September. This will showcase businesses in Kent who have fully embraced and integrated this approach when looking to build their teams.  We hope this will encourage others to think more about flexible working as a positive step and subsequently help you find a role that fits your requirements.

Workshops

As part of our commitment to you we run free workshops to help you be better prepared and achieve your true potential. Our next set of workshops will kick off in September. You will be able to meet the Ten2Two team, network with like minded people and boost your chances of success. If you are interested please reserve your space by either clicking on the “APPLY HERE” option or give us a call. We operate on a first come first served basis. More details on venues will be forwarded on confirmation of your space.

  • Member Get together on Tuesday, 10th September, 10am – 12pm, SEVENOAKS (APPLY HERE)

Come along and meet the Ten2Two team as well as other Ten2Two members if you’ve not done so already. We’d love to get an update on your current job requirements or even news about a new job you’ve just started. We’ll talk about our recent placements, clients we’re working on and any tips we’ve learnt in recent months which might help you secure the perfect role.  During the sessions you’ll have the opportunity to meet one of the Ten2Two team to discuss, one-on-one, your particular situation and requirements.

  • Return to Work Workshop, Tuesday 24th September, 10am – 12pm, SEVENOAKS (APPLY HERE)

Have you been on a career break for 18 months or over? If yes, then this workshop could be for you. Our aim during this workshop is to provide you with some hints and tips on how to get yourself back into ‘work mode’, things you may like to consider in getting ready, we’ll take a brief look at different styles of CVs, discuss getting ready for interview and help you understand the role of social media in your job search.

The workshop will be interactive and, we hope, good fun as well as being informative. Have a look at our Returners Wheel in advance and come along with a willingness to participate and a copy of your latest CV (in whatever state).

  • CV Workshop on Wednesday, 9th October, 10am – 12pm, LONDON (APPLY HERE)

This popular workshop takes you through how to create the best CV you can. Remember your CV is the first step in securing a new role; it’s the selling document which will get you through the door of a potential employer. For many of us our CV has been neglected and not updated to reflect our current skill set and the role we’re now seeking. We’ll look at the best CV for you and discuss a skills based CV. The workshop is interactive, good fun and there is no preparation required, just a willingness to participate and a copy of your latest CV (in whatever state).
