Supporting the Dragons Apprentice Challenge

Ten2Two are delighted to be supporting the Dragons Apprentice Challenge this year involving eleven teams of students from schools across Dacorum and our very own Jane O’Gorman is proudly mentoring a passionate team of six formers from JFK School in Hemel Hempstead. The worthy charity the team have been raising money for is DENS

A Worthy Cause

DENS is seeking solutions to the problems of single homeless people and poverty in Dacorum through a number of services; The Elms, emergency and short term accommodation; DENS Day Centre, advice and a daytime haven; DENS Rent Aid, a deposit guarantee and support scheme with private landlords; DENS Dacorum Foodbank, emergency food supplies; DENS Equipped to Change: support for education, training, volunteering and employment and DENS Enterprises, creating income.

The team, “Dragons”, have visited, assisted and seen at first-hand the great support provided by the Foodbank.

Lots of Hard Work!

Over the last couple of months, the “Dragons” have carried out a number of activities to raise money for DENS from a netball and football tournament to a tug of war and bag packing in a well-known local supermarket! This week is their final push and deadline to raise money for the charity and they are planning a Bake for Dens at JFK school on Friday.

Can you help?

To help with the final push, it would be great if you or your team could also bake to help raise some funds for DENS and treat the office to a sweet treat (for a price!). The Ten2Two team plan to Bake for Dens this week and we’d love you to too!

Jane will happily pop by next week to collect any funds raised.  Remember though that any baking and sales must take place before the deadline this Friday.  If  you do bake, we’d love to see some pics!

Thanks for your support!
