We are now a team of 4, or as we now feel the Fantastic 4! – Jemma Tankard joined us in June to focus on expanding our client base, which will potentially mean more job opportunities to offer you.

‘Jemma came along to one of our workshops, she talked about her extensive background in sales and account management, and at the end of the meeting we decided we needed to nab her for ourselves – she was such a good fit to our team and business.’

Opportunities can come when you least expect it, so if you are actively seeking your next opportunity – networking and getting yourself heard/noticed is key.

Get Noticed!

Your CV is your ultimate marketing tool to get you noticed. Bearing in mind that the average time spent looking at your CV is around 30 seconds, you need to make sure:

  • It creates the “hook” for the employer to be interested;
  • Leaves the employer wanting more so you have to progress to the interview stage.
  • Take the stage during your interview and blow them away with personality fit as well as your professional aptitude!

….give the right bait and get them hooked to read on.

Our next set of workshops, detailed below, will kick off in September. You will be able to meet the Ten2Two team, network with likeminded people and boost your chances of success. If you are interested please reply to this email ASAP to reserve you place, bearing in mind we operate on a first come first served basis. More details on Venues will be forwarded near the date.

CV Workshop on Tuesday, 12th September, 10am – 12pm, Location TBC

This popular workshop takes you through how to create the best CV you can. Remember your CV is the first step in securing a new role; it’s the selling document which will get you through the door of a potential employer. For many of us our CV has been neglected and not updated to reflect our current skillset and the role we’re now seeking. We’ll look at the best CV for you and discuss a skills based CV. The workshop is interactive, good fun and there is no preparation required, just a willingness to participate and a copy of your latest CV (in whatever state).

Member Get together on Friday, 13TH October, 10am – 12pm, Location TBC

Come along and meet the Ten2Two team as well as other Ten2Two members if you’ve not done so already. We’d love to get an update on your current job requirements or even news about a new job you’ve just started. We’ll talk about our recent placements, clients we’re working on and any tips we’ve learnt in recent months which might help you secure the perfect role.

We do like to meet as many of our members as possible, it really does help when we’re putting you forward to clients. If we haven’t yet met you and you’re not able to make one of these dates, do please get in touch and we’ll organise a time to sit down for a quick chat over coffee.

Charity Support

In an effort to continue with our philanthropic policy here at Ten2Two we have had some great fun supporting several events for local charities. If you have not given back this year I really recommend it we have had such fun.

There was the Triathlon for Demelza house, completed in the beautiful Lake District.
A Sevenoaks Chamber of commerce Golf day for Mind, Rotary Club and Rockdale.
Then most recently a “Cream tea to your desk” day for Ellenor Children’s Hospice charity

All of these activities raised almost £1500 for these local organisations. We just wanted to thank all of you who supported us and we are already looking ahead for our next challenge so any suggestions would be welcome!
