Summer is also the time when many of us take stock of our lives, whether on holiday or not – so if you’re assessing your own levels of personal happiness, take a look at this article which recently appeared in Stylist magazine.

It’s a clear indicator that the pursuit of happiness isn’t always a fulfilling a task and can actually make us unhappy! Something to bear in mind if you’re about to go on a long car journey with the family…

Economic confidence buoys the recruitment market

The latest job research by the Recruitment Industry Body, the REC shows that 80% of employers state that economic conditions are getting better. Key findings in July’s edition include:

  • 46% of employers expect confidence in hiring and investment decisions to get better
  • Four in ten (41%) employers increased pay/earnings of their staff in the last year and none reduced pay
  • 74% of hirers plan to add permanent headcount over the next quarter, and 71% plan to do so from September onwards.

We’d love to get to know you, particularly as it helps us to promote your skill set to prospective employers if we’ve had a chat about your individual talents and requirements. Come on down to this informal and friendly networking session – but please book ahead so we have plenty of time to talk to you individually. Slots are available at 9.30am, 10.45am and Midday.
