Woman Work Event, Friday, 20th April at the Salomans Estate, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN13 0TG

This whole day event is an opportunity to start your journey with like-minded woman. It’s designed to encourage women to help each other, open up opportunities to come together, feel inspired, uplifted and empowered. Sevenoaks Business Show, Friday 27th April at the Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks, 10am – 2pm            

This is free event run in association with the Sevenoaks Town Partnership. Come along for great networking opportunities, free talks and many exhibits from local businesses. We will be there on the day and would be good to see you there.

Ten2Two Workshops

Our next set of workshops, detailed below, will kick off after the Easter Break. You will be able to meet the Ten2Two team, network with likeminded people and boost your chances of success. Return to Work on Tuesday, 1st May 2018, 12:30pm – 2:30pm, Location TBC        

Have you been on a career break for 18 months or over? If yes, then this workshop could be for you. Our aim during this workshop is to provide you with some hints and tips on how to get yourself back into ‘work mode’, things you may like to consider in getting ready, we’ll take a brief look at different styles of CVs, discuss interviews and help you understand the role of social media in your job search.

The workshop will be interactive and, we hope, good fun as well as being informative. Have a look at our Returners Wheel in advance and come along with a willingness to participate and a copy of your latest CV (in whatever state).

Member Get together on Friday, 18th May, 10am – 12pm, Location TBC                       

Come along and meet the Ten2Two team as well as other Ten2Two members if you’ve not done so already. We’d love to get an update on your current job requirements or even news about a new job you’ve just started. We’ll talk about our recent placements, clients we’re working on and any tips we’ve learnt in recent months which might help you secure the perfect role.  This is a great opportunity for us to put a face to a name (or a CV) and to understand more about what lies beneath your CV and how we might be able to help you in your job search.

CV Workshop on Wednesday, 13th June, 10am – 12pm, Location TBC

This popular workshop takes you through how to create the best CV you can. Your CV is your ultimate marketing tool to get you noticed. Bearing in mind that the average time spent looking at your CV is around 30 seconds, you need to make sure:

  • It creates the “hook” for the employer to be interested;
  • Leaves the employer wanting more so they have to progress you to the interview stage.
  • Makes you stand out from the crowd
  • Gives you a perfect script for expanding on at interview

 

We’ll look at the best CV for you and discuss a skills based CV. The workshop is interactive, good fun and there is no preparation required, just a willingness to participate and a copy of your latest CV (in whatever state).

Interview Skills on Tuesday 26th June, 1pm – 2:30pm, Location TBC

This workshop looks at the different types of interview you might expect and how best to prepare for them. Interviews are stressful enough and being prepared is the key to successfully getting through to the next stage. We’ll share some hints and tips as well as some questions you might want to consider in advance. It’s interactive, fun and a good way to meet other Ten2Two members in a similar situation who always have great tips to share from their own experiences.
