FREE Introduction to Social Media Workshop – Thursday 9 May, Gloucester

Introduction to Social Media Workshop
New to the world of social media? Social media channels are being used increasingly within the workplace. This workshop is the perfect introduction – simplifying social media and explaining why it is important. Emma will run through the basics on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, why they exist and how each is best used. She will explain why you need an online presence and what the benefits can be. Emma will also run through how to post on each channel (something you may be required to do in a work situation).
This workshop is aimed at those wanting to have an introduction to the world of social media – we aim to have another session later in the year on how best to leverage your online social media presence with regards to job searches and career progression.
• PLEASE BRING ALONG YOUR LAPTOP/TABLET/PHONE as the second half of the session will allow you time to put Emma’s tips into practice on your social media channels, with Emma on hand to answer individual questions, help and advise
There will also be time to network with like-minded professionals and meet the Ten2Two team.
