Maclaren Signs Up

In April 2008, Maclaren became Ten2Two's first corporate sponsor.

Northamptonshire business, Maclaren, is a premier British parenting lifestyle company that produces the worlds safest, most durable, stylish and innovative baby buggies, toys and accessories. Maclaren also recently launched Beginning, an organic-based, holistic range of personal care products for Mum and Baby, created on the principles of purity, nurturing and connection from the very beginning.

We had identified Maclaren as an ideal sponsor not only because we share a common ground in terms of target audience, with both companies wanting to nurture stronger relationships with mothers, but also because we are both recognised as being incredibly innovative and forward thinking companies.

This two year sponsorship brings our companies closer together, with Maclaren and Ten2Two working to develop a new 'Brand Ambassador Programme'. Ten2Two will also be helping conduct an internal review of Maclarens resourcing strategy and providing direction with its approach towards flexible working.

We Need Big Friends

It is going to take time, finance and credibility to effect this change so we are enlisting the help of several sponsors that have an interest in supporting mothers, women and families to 'underwrite' our launch and to support us while we establish the business.

Our target sponsors have a social and business interest in supporting this community and whilst they will benefit from the exposure this sponsorship will bring, they are seeking to reinforce their brands rather than establish them.

Social Enterprise

Our research has told us that Ten2Two needs to be a commercial organisation. Mothers don't want their careers to be managed by charities and clients want to work with a commercial organisation that is responsive to their needs and can ensure quality and value for money.

However, there is a strong social benefit that comes from our success. We recognise that to succeed, we will need to drive change in the attitudes of many businesses, proving that being a part-time worker and a full-time mother can be effective for the company and workforce.
