"I found out about Ten2Two after finding one of their leaflet dispensers in the ladies toilets of a local restaurant and I thought 'that's the type of company I should know!' Says Alison Brown, Chief Executive of Chesham-based Healthcare Connections.

Healthcare Connections approached Ten2Two to see whether they could help them find someone to lead their newly created business ? Chemists on Call. The role provided an excellent opportunity for the right person to come in and shape and create a new business, safe in the knowledge that there was a parent company that could provide support and resource as and when required.

Ten2Two ? Could she work staggered hours?

They were looking for an individual not only with the right personality but experience across a broad range of disciplines, who wasn't afraid to get 'their hands dirty'

"We are a people-business and we look after our staff as if they are family" says Alison. "Ten2Two listened to our brief and working collaboratively through the whole process to ensure we got exactly what we needed."

Carol's Story

Carol had spent the past 18 years within the global healthcare sector as a marketing professional. Since 2003 she had set up her own business and was working on a freelance basis.

However, whilst freelancing the type of work she was getting tended to be quite limited and was not utilising all of her experience or skills.

"I assumed the only way to manage a career was to run my own business which meant that I could choose the days I worked and the contracts as I needed them. However in truth this didn't give me the flexibility I needed. It was either feast or famine and it was very difficult to turn work away. When this opportunity came up through Ten2Two I jumped at it."

Carol is now working as Managing Director of Chesham based Chemist on Call, she works flexibly across 5 days from 8.15 to 3.15.
