Case Study: Archer Young The MD of the award-winning motivation and culture change agency needed 'the perfect person' in a specialised role and as quickly as possible Archer Young's Story "I need someone who understands our clients' business, can translate that into production-speak for our team and has sufficient experience to quickly win their respect. They also need to work part-time and we need them quickly. I bet you can't find them" This was the challenge set by Helena Winter-Brown, MD at Archer Young, an award-winning creative motivation agency to the Ten2Two team. |

Archer Young soon became Ten2Two's first client. A short list of potential people were identified but one stood out. Sabia had over 15 years' experience in the hurly burly of TV production at Carlton TV in London. "We didn't think that people of this calibre would be available locally" explains Helena. "We were a little stuck as we didn't think the 'professional + part-time' combination was achievable until we started working with Ten2Two but their focus on flexible working for professional people has attracted some great people." "We just didn't need a full time person doing this job so we've ended up with the right person at the right price." Ten2Two's focus on flexible working and their positive message for mothers returning to work and looking for rewarding work has started to change people's lives and bring real benefit to their clients. Sabia's Story Former TV production executive Sabia Morrison is getting to grips with her new role as an account executive for an award-winning company in Berkhamsted. Mum of two Sabia had been working part-time as a PA but had a 15 year career in TV before having her children. She said: "I could make my PA job fairly interesting but it wasn't giving me enough." "But it's so hard to find a decent company who will give you the hours that fit around schools. "My new role is managing events which is similar to the job I had managing programmes for TV. It uses the same skills; it's just a different product. I'm not belittling my last job, but it is very hard when you've worked up through your career to have to go backwards because of the hours you can do. I wasn't getting any satisfaction. I was just working for the sake of working." Sabia said: "I'm really looking forward to getting into my new job. I'm very grateful to Ten2Two and I really hope they do well, as I'm sure they will." |
